When I paint with watercolors, everything calms down. I sit down at the table, take a brush in my hand and dip it in the jar of water. I hear the water mixing, the click of the brush on the glass and that's it. There is silence. And from that moment on, I hear nothing, except the movement of the brush on the page. I have been painting since I was 15 and I always felt that this was the only place where I could express myself authentically. I felt great satisfaction and pleasure from the creative processes, but it was only when I discovered the world of watercolors that I also experienced peace within the painting. I could let go of my expectations of myself as a painter and simply painted. The connection was immediate. I was curious to experiment and explore the painting process. I discovered that this was my greatest pleasure. To surrender to the water, to observe its movement, to listen to its rhythm while painting, to move with it, to give it time to be absorbed into the page, to wait patiently until something wants to be revealed, to observe and see what wants to be revealed. As mysterious as they may be, watercolors are my safe place in the world. A place where there is magic and wandering in a dream. They teach me to let go and trust the process of painting, the beginning of which is unknown, but in the end there is an understanding and acceptance of everything that is revealed. Very nice, I am Edna Chen Ezer, 45 years old, living in Pardes Hanna with Tomer. We have a magical 5-year-old child and we call him Liroy. I am happy to share my art with you. Here you can get inspired, order a print of a painting you liked or art in ceramics and find out about workshops that you can also join and experience the magic.
